The Rio Olympics...where Indian women shone bright and made us proud :)
This year's Olympics is over, and for the Indians, this Olympics belonged to the women. P.V.Sindhu created history by winning silver at the Badminton Women's Singles. She is the only Indian women to have earned a silver. A laudable achievement indeed, that too at the age of 21. Then there's Sakshi Malik, winning a bronze in wrestling. She's 23, and from Haryana, where you have the lowest sex ration in India. Breaking stereotypes and defying all comments and snide remarks, she's gone on to achieve her dreams, and make India proud in front of the whole world. There's also Dipa Karmakar, 23, who's wowed the entire nation by her skills as a gymnast. She may not have won a medal, but her performance has been stunning. She is also only the fifth woman in the history of gymnastics, who has successfully completed the Produnova Vault.
